Soups

  • Chicken Soup with Vegetables

This is an easy to prepare and tasty chicken soup with an emphasis on vegetables, with the homemade taste.

  • Malban Soup

This is a chicken based soup.  The special part of this soup is the homemade noodle mixture. This is a special mixture that is frozen and then flaked as noodles. Sprinkle with Romano cheese and this dish is scrumpshish. 

  • Bacala Soup

This is a great tasting cod fish based soup without the fishy taste.  The white meat of the cod fish is smooth like silk and blends masterly with the finely chopped celery.

Salads

  • Pepper Salad with Celery

This is a salad that accompanies a sandwich or included in a buffet of lunch and dinner items.

  • Tomatoes in Oil

Nothing can beat this salad when you can get fresh, locally grown tomatoes. 

  • String Bean Salad

As with the tomato salad above, the fresher the string beans, the greater the taste.  With a bit of vinegar, this has a tangy after taste. 

  • Italian Salad Dressing

This is a simple dressing that is not overwhelming.  It allows you to enjoy the taste of the lettuce and yet still have a great flavor compliment each leaf.

Entrees

  • Spaghetti Agli Oil

A tempting blend of spices cooked in oil and served over a bed of spaghetti.  Top this dish with Romano cheese and you will not be able to stop eating when you are full.

  • Broccoli and Spaghetti

Besides tasting great, this dish has a healthy feel.  You will think broccoli and spaghetti are as natural together as peanut butter and jelly.

  • Rapini and Spaghetti

Rapini is a green type vegetable that has you think Italian when you eat it.  The aroma from the garlic excites the senses. 

  • Chicken (Baked) w/Peas & Potatoes

This could be my favorite recipe in this book.  I hate peas.  I always hated peas.  With this dish, you will become a peas lover.  If you already like peas, you will faint with happiness. I cannot even describe the potatoes.  They are overly cooked in brown sauce.  Unbelievably good.  The chicken falls off the bones and the stuffing is incredible.  When I have this meal, I overeat. (what else is new?)

A quick sauce that is vegetarian and out of this world.  You will not believe a quick sauce can taste this Italian. 

  • Veal Cutlets

A very tasty way to prepare veal.  This goes great with a salad with our Italian dressing to dunk the veal in.  There is also a tempting recipe for veal cutlet Parmesan.

  • Eggplant Parmesan

A great way to prepare eggplant.  This is with a red tomato sauce.  This makes a great tasting sandwich.

  • Chumpot

A stew made of vegetable and zucchini.  A very hearty dish.

  • Pasta FaZool

This is a dish I have eaten every Friday since I can remember.  This goes great with Italian pizza that is also in this book.

  • Pasta with Peas

If you like peas, this is your dish.   

  • Ricotta and Macaroni

The taste of ricotta is a different experience with this dish.  The ricotta fills the mouth with each spoonful.

  • Pizza

This is a quick way to make pizza at home.  The recipe here is for the traditional thick crust Italian pizza with cheese.  This pizza is great to have with pasta faZool or any other pasta dish enclosed in this book.  Or you can eat this alone.  This recipe is great as is or you can add your own favorite toppings.

  • Italian Sandwich

A great tasting Italian coldcut sandwich. 

  • Chicken in Sauce

This is a chicken cooked in a light sauce.  The chicken falls off the bone with ease and the taste is of a light tomato taste.  A great tasting stuffing compliments the juicy meat.

  • Meat Sauce

This is a thick red tomato sauce made with meat. 

  • Lasagna

A wonderful tasting lasagna that makes Italian cooking seem special.

  • Stuffing for Turkey

You won't find this recipe at the first Thanksgiving in Plymouth Massachusetts.  The Pilgrims had no idea their turkey could taste this good.  This is Italian all the way.  Made with Italian sausage, your guests will come begging for more. 

  • Baked Stuffed Shrimp

This is a special blend of mixture that has the jumbo shrimp bursting with flavor.  This recipe could put cocktail sauce out of business.

  • Baked Stuffed Lobster

Lobster never tasted so good.  As with the shrimp recipe above, the lobster and the special mixture compliment each other in a wonderful way that propels the flavor of the succulent meat to a new level of enjoyment.

  • Homemade Macaroni
